About Tour the
Cosmos


Tour the Cosmos is a series of four radio broadcasts revolving around topics in astronomy such as planet formation and life in the universe. List as National Public Radio

host Marc Steiner interviews a group of scientists and astronomers while taking questions from the public. These shows were broadcast in 1998 and 1999, and all material is archived.

Some broadcasts are accompanied by relevant images from the Hubble Space Telescope, an orbiting observatory that scrutinizes the heavens from its unrivaled viweing position 353 miles (569 kilometers) above the Earth's surface. THroughout the site, you'll also find links to related images and audio clips.
